Rose Quartz Bracelet

Posted on April 7, 2019April 8, 2019 by Jaye

The thing with beads is that when you’re first starting out with them, everything can seem pretty simple.  This bracelet, made from rose quartz and aqua quartz, is just about as simple as can be.  It doesn’t take a degree in engineering and it doesn’t require a whole lot of candlepower.  If you’re looking for a fairly simple project to give yourself a win, this is the bead project for you.

The materials are easy enough to find.  I got mine on Amazon, right down to the clasps.  You can get the wire and tools at your friendly neighborhood craft store if you need instant gratification.

Materials:

8” bead wire, plus extra to tie onto the clasps.  Bead thread will work as well.

Rose quartz beads – I used 28

Aqua quartz beads – I used 4

Wire cutters

Long nose pliers

Lobster clasp and jump ring

Time taken: Approximately 1 hour, if you get interrupted a lot.

Put the clasp on one end of your wire.

Thread 7 rose quartz beads onto the wire.

Add one aqua quartz bead.

Repeat 2 and 3 until all beads are used up.

Tie the jump ring onto the wire.

Cut the remaining wire away.

Wear the bracelet and be happy.

It really is that simple.  You’re welcome to do fancier things with the clasps, like use a crimp on the ends and such.  I’m just now getting the hang of the crimp tool and I’m not sure it’s going well yet, but we’ll see.  In the meantime, my bracelet is pretty and gives me something to fuss with when I’m getting antsy.  I had fun making it and I think you will too!
